Topsort is looking for a fluent French‑speaking Account Executive based in Barcelona to help accelerate our growth across the EMEA region. We’re not looking for someone who just wants to “manage accounts.” We want smart, ambitious, commercially hungry people who want to build, win, grow fast, and operate in a high‑performance environment. This role is for someone excited by ownership, challenges, and the opportunity to work closely with leadership while selling a highly technical and fast‑growing product in the retail media space. You’ll work directly with retailers, marketplaces, and commerce platforms, helping them modernize how they monetize their ecosystems through Topsort’s API‑first retail media infrastructure. In this role, you will:
- Build outbound pipeline across EMEA markets through strategic, high‑volume prospecting and relationship‑building.
- Research target accounts deeply — understanding their business model, monetization strategy, organizational structure, and buying signals before outreach.
- Own full sales cycles from first touch through discovery, demos, negotiation, and close.
- Communicate Topsort’s value proposition clearly across both business and technical stakeholders.
- Learn and confidently sell complex concepts around retail media, marketplace monetization, APIs, and ad infrastructure.
- Build trust with senior stakeholders across monetization, product, engineering, and executive teams.
- Continuously test and improve messaging, positioning, and outbound strategies based on market feedback and conversion patterns.
- Use AI tools and modern sales tooling to create leverage across research, prioritization, outreach, CRM hygiene, and pipeline management.
- Maintain disciplined forecasting, clean pipeline management, and strong operational follow‑through in HubSpot.
- Represent Topsort at client meetings, conferences, and industry events across the region. Travel is part of the role.
- Operate with urgency, adaptability, and high ownership in a fast‑moving startup environment.
- Treat rejection as feedback and continuously refine how you communicate, sell, and execute. What We Think You Need to Be Successful
- Fluent in French and English, based in Barcelona
- 1+ years of experience in sales, business development, partnerships, or customer‑facing roles
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust quickly
- High ownership mentality and strong execution skills
- Commercially driven, proactive, and resilient
- Comfortable operating in fast‑paced and ambiguous startup environments
- Curious and excited to learn technical products and complex business models
- Strong organizational and pipeline management skills
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross‑functionally
