ICFO is offering a postdoctoral position to a well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young scientist who wishes to contribute advance technologies that drive the clean energy transition.

The **CO2 Mitigation Accelerated by Photons group led by Prof. Dr. Pelayo García de Arquer** is searching for exceptional researchers and engineers, with an excellent proven track record, to develop efficient water electrolyzers systems that can operate with non-idóneo water streams within the framework of an EU-funded project.

- A strong background in electrochemistry and chemical engineering
- Experience in water electrolysis systems, in particular in alkaline and anion exchange membrane (AEM) technologies
- Experience with alternative anodic reactions beyond the OER
- Experience in full stack design, implementation, and operation
- Experience in electrode design, fabrication, and membrane integration
- Experience with spectroscopies and optics is also an important asset
- Multiscale modeling using COMSOL or simila
- Analytical chemistry for product quantification

Salaries for ICFO Postdoctoral positions are assigned by the Selection Committee, based on experience and seniority of the applicant, as well as the assigned tasks and responsibilities within the group. Standard salaries range from a lower level aligned with national Ramon-y-Cajal fellowships to higher levels aligned with Marie Skłodowska-Curie individual fellowships.

The contract is offered for a period of 1 year, renewable.
