ICFO is offering postdoctoral positions to well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young scientists who wish to enhance their scientific career in a friendly and stimulating environment.

We are seeking highly motivated and skilled professional whoes core responsibility will be the reassembly, optimization, and commissioning of the group’s mid-infrared optical parametric chirped pulse amplification system. This ensures full operational restoration to safeguard the laboratory’s scientific capabilities.

The tasks include:

- Full mechanical reassembly and precision optical alignment
- Operational mid-IR system at full power, with documented alignment procedures.
- Few-cycle pulse compression
- Complete temporal and spectral characterization
- Optimization of performance parameters
- Setup and implementation of the pump line (THz)

Salaries for ICFO Postdoctoral positions are assigned by the Selection Committee, based on experience and seniority of the applicant, as well as the assigned tasks and responsibilities within the group.

The contract is offered initially for a period up to 12 months.
