Experteer Overview

In this role you will join GMV’s defence-focused avionics team to design and integrate high-performance autonomous navigation systems for aeronautical platforms. You will work on architectures that fuse GNSS, IMUs and other sensors to operate in GNSS-denied or degraded environments. You will influence validation campaigns, from lab testing to flight trials, driving reliable, fault-tolerant solutions. This is a hands-on position with cross-functional collaboration to shape real-world navigation capabilities at scale.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Architect and integrate hybrid navigation systems (GNSS/IMU/sensors) for robust fault-tolerant solutions
• Diagnose and optimise navigation performance, addressing error sources and drift
• Implement and tune state estimation algorithms (EKF/UKF/factor graph) for real-time sensor fusion
• Lead validation campaigns including HIL, lab testing, and flight trials with post-processed analysis
• Collaborate with embedded software, algorithm and hardware teams on subsystem integration under aeronautical standards

Responsabilidades
• minimum of 4 years in systems engineering, inertial navigation or embedded algorithm development
• experience with inertial/GNSS navigation system design (loosely/tightly coupled) and fault mode management
• strong understanding of state estimation (EKF and variants) including convergence and stability analysis
• sensor integration and characterization (IMUs, GNSS, cameras, LiDAR) on benches and real platforms
• participation in full validation cycles (HIL and field tests)
