R&d Powertrain Engineer (Santa Oliva)

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be involved in complete vehicle testing programs in the field of emissions, fuel consumption, electric energy management, range EV for all type of technologies: ICE, Hybrid, PHEV, EVs and H2 vehicles.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the Project Manager with projects related to Green NCAP. Testing programme and environmental impact assessment involving wide range of activities: real driving testing, climatic testing, vehicle instrumentation, data analysis and reporting.
- Project Management of complete testing programmes. Schedule and organization. Coordination and supervising the execution of tests according to client’s needs. Definition of the activities to be performed as well as arrangement of the required facilities and manpower considering the resources availability.
- Project follow-up, day-to-day communication with clients, updates on the progress, validation of the testing data and results of work through technical discussion with a problem-solving approach.
- Improvement of test procedures and reporting to fulfil with the internal quality standards and enhancing the efficiency of processes.
- Know how about powertrain testing protocols, especially Green NCAP testing protocols, and discussion in a European level for further improvement of the assessment methods.
- Development of scripts and tools in Matlab/Visual Basic/Python for the automation of pre/post processing, data analysis and reporting tasks.
- Analysis of market trends and regulatory framework affecting vehicle energy efficiency and pollutant emissions of passenger cars and motorcycles.
- Preparation of quotations for customers.
- Presentations (commercial and technical) to the customers.

**Profile**:

- 1 to 3 year of experience in the Automotive Industry.
- Previous experience on powertrain testing protocols.
- Previous experience on electric energy management and range activities for EV
- Knowledge of Phyton, Visual Basic and data analysis.
- Project management and technical experience are valuable
- Open, highly motivated personality with hands-on mentality, able to work autonomously as well as being part of a team in a hybrid style (office and remote).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

**Education**:

- Engineer Mechanic or electronic or similar.

**Language**:

- English fluent.
- German and French are valuable.
