Field Service Engineer – Pfa Division (Catalunya) (Granollers)

GEA’s PFA Division provides advanced equipment and production lines for food applications, including processing, marination, slicing, and packaging of meat, poultry, seafood, plant‑based products, pasta, baked goods, snacks, cereals, confectionery, and pet food. We are looking for a technically skilled and customer‑focused Field Service Engineer to support our clients across Spain and Portugal. You will play a key role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of our industrial food processing and packaging equipment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, problem‑solving, and working directly with customers. Responsibilities Perform corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, and inspections on a wide range of industrial machinery (packaging, slicing, processing, grinding, etc.). Support installation and commissioning of new equipment. Diagnose technical issues and provide effective solutions onsite. Collaborate with the wider Field Service Engineering team to ensure high service quality. Participate in ongoing technical training related to the equipment portfolio. Maintain strong relationships with customers and provide a professional service experience. Travel across Spain and Portugal (5 days/week), with flexibility in schedule when required. Qualifications Formación Profesional de Grado Superior (FP2) or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field. Experience working with capital investment industrial equipment is a strong advantage. Solid analytical and technical problem‑solving abilities. Comfortable working directly with customers, with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
