About the Project We are developing a unique hospitality portfolio in Mallorca and Denmark, combining luxury boutique hotels, regenerative concepts, authentic architecture, and high operational standards. The first hotel opening is planned for March 2027, followed by additional projects on the island. We are currently entering the critical construction and pre-opening phase and are looking for an experienced and hands-on Chief Engineer who can support the projects from construction until successful hotel operations. Position: Chief Engineer / Head of Maintenance Location: Mallorca, Spain Start Date: As soon as possible Your Role This is not a purely administrative engineering position. We are looking for someone with strong technical experience who is also operationally minded, proactive, and hands-on. During the current construction and pre-opening phase, you will work closely with architects, construction companies, suppliers, and operations to ensure that all technical systems are properly installed, functional, and operationally efficient before opening. After opening, you will lead and develop the maintenance department across the properties. Main ResponsibilitiesPre-Opening & Construction Phase
- Supervise technical aspects of the hotel construction process
- Coordinate and monitor contractors, suppliers, and technical installations
- Ensure functionality and quality control of all systems before handover
- Support project management in technical decision-making
- Identify operational risks early and proactively solve problems
- Prepare maintenance structures, preventive plans, and technical SOPs
- Assist in budgeting and technical procurement Hotel Operations Phase
- Lead and organize the maintenance department
- Ensure smooth daily operations of all technical systems
- Implement preventive maintenance programs
- Manage external technical providers and service contracts
- Support sustainability and energy-efficiency initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety and legal regulations
- Train and motivate the maintenance team Profile We Are Looking For
- Strong experience in hotel engineering or technical facility management
- Experience with hotel openings or construction projects is highly preferred
- Hands-on mentality with the ability to work operationally when needed
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Leadership experience managing teams
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Experience with luxury hospitality standards is a plus
- Knowledge of HVAC, pools, electrical systems, plumbing, BMS, and general hotel infrastructure
- Spanish and/or English required (additional languages are a plus)
- Based in Mallorca or willing to relocate What We Offer
