Financial Controller – Spain Skills: Financial controlling, statutory accounting, tax compliance, reporting, SAP, advanced Excel Contract type: Permanent Work modality: Hybrid (Madrid/Valencia/ Barcelona) We are looking for a Financial Controller with strong technical knowledge and hands‑on experience in financial control and statutory accounting under Spanish regulations. This role is operational and highly responsible, ensuring business continuity, regulatory compliance, and accurate group reporting. It is not a junior role nor limited to reporting tasks Responsibilities Financial Control &
• Reporting
• Full ownership of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for two Spanish entities
• Preparation and review of P&L;, balance sheet, and cash‑flow statements
• Variance analysis against budget and forecast,
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of financial data Statutory &
• Tax Compliance
• Coordinate statutory accounts under Spanish GAAP, including audits
• Work with external advisors on: – Corporate Income Tax – VAT (Spanish and EU cross‑border) – Withholding taxes
• Ensure full compliance with local accounting and tax regulations Operational Finance
• Cash‑flow forecasting and monitoring
• Track OPEX, accruals, and provisions
• Support budgeting and forecasting cycles
• Act as a finance business partner to local management Banking &
• Payments
• Prepare and execute payment orders (vendors, payroll, taxes, intercompany)
• Manage online banking platforms and user permissions
• Daily cash monitoring and short‑term liquidity planning Systems &
• Controls
• Ensure strong internal controls and audit‑ready documentation
• Support ERP processes (SAP preferred) Requirements Experience
• +5 years of experience in Financial Controlling
• Strong background in Spanish statutory accounting and tax
• Experience working in multinational or group environments
• Proven hands‑on experience taking ownership of the close process Languages
• Spanish: fluent/native
