Velto Renewables (Velto), a subsidiary of La Caisse (Caisse de Dépôt et Placement de Québec), is looking for a Tax&Accounting Specialist to join its team in Madrid, Spain, and work closely with the Senior Finance Manager.

Velto owns and operates more than 130 solar photovoltaic projects in Spain and France, with a total installed capacity exceeding 607 MW. These assets generate over 936 GWh of clean energy annually, enough to power more than 266,000 homes, while avoiding over 77,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year. Additionally, Velto provides asset management services for La Caisse’s 25% investment in the London Array, one of the world’s largest offshore wind farms. Located 20 km off the coast of Kent, this 630 MW project produces over 2,300 GWh annually, preventing 287,500 tonnesof CO₂ emissions each year.

This role will ensure accounting and tax compliance and ensure coherence at group level in accounting and tax policies.

Responsibilities Ensuring the reliability, completeness coherence of monthly closing data Monitor accounting outsourced team and tax advisors to ensure the timely fulfilment of obligations and compliance Oversee and ensure the accuracy of balance sheet accounts, including account reconciliations and intercompany settlementsMonitor the accurate recognition of revenues and expenses Overview of the statutory consolidation process Coordinate financial audits and work closely with external auditors Optimize and further develop accounting processes, ensuring a good internal control environment Ensuring compliance with tax laws and identification of deductible and non-deductible items, with special focus on Corporate Income Tax.

Competencies

Accounting Expertise Expert on accounting principles under Spanish GAAP Consolidation knowledge Complex accounting matters such as derivatives, mergers, acquisitions, among others IFRS knowledge will be considered

Tax Law Expertise Deep professional experience in tax compliance and tax accounting Creating effective solutions for complex tax issues

Education and experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Solid experience (6+ years) of audit background and/or hands-on corporate accounting and tax experience Demonstrable experience working with regulated renewable assets
