Global API Product Manager - Ingenico (Madrid)

At Ingenico, trust and sustainability are at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking a Global API Product Manager to own and lead our cloud API as a product. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, developer-centric APIs that enable seamless integrations across the platform. You will combine deep technical expertise (e.g., senior developer or solutions architect background) with product management skills to drive a product-led API strategy. This is an adecuado opportunity for someone transitioning into product management or building on existing PM experience. As a senior member of the Core Platform and API team, you will deliver scalable, reusable capabilities that support all Ingenico cloud solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of the Ingenico 360 Cloud API product
- Define and drive the API product vision, strategy, and success metrics (e.g., adoption, usage, NPS)
- Champion product-led API design, ensuring best-in-class developer experience
- Review and approve all public OpenAPI specifications
- Partner with architects and product owners to translate business needs into clear API designs and documentation
- Engage with external developers and partners to validate API design and integration patterns
- Ensure high-quality, accessible, and accurate API documentation
- Define SLAs/SLOs for API reliability and performance
- Prioritize roadmap using value, impact, and effort trade-offs
- Communicate progress and align stakeholders, including senior leadership Qualifications/Skills:
- Fluent with OpenAPI Specifications to drive a contract-first approach to API development
- Skilled in API design techniques to ensure consistency, discoverability and extensibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in building highly complex enterprise B2B SaaS products.
- Enjoys tackling complex topics and distilling those to find elegant generic solutions
- Ability to quickly assimilate new concepts and technologies
- Comfortable with remote work and virtual collaboration in a global context
- A high degree of self-reliance and dedication to drive product delivery end to end
- A proven ability to adapt and remain resilient, driving progress and results despite ambiguity Must-haves:
- Considerable experience as a developer creating API products and API led integrations.
- Experience working with a B2B SaaS platform, experience dealing with complex requirements with many stakeholders to align. Should haves:
