Process Development Engineer | Covering expert (San Juan)

At Itera Mobility Engineering, we are seeking a Process Development Engineer with expertise in covering to join our automotive engineering team. This project requires support in our client ́s plant at Czech republic, so travel availability is a must. Main functions to develop:
- Development and optimization of lamination and covering processes for industrial and/or automotive components.
- Definition of process parameters, work instructions, and operating standards.
- Participation in the industrialization of new products and project launches.
- Coordination of validation testing for materials, adhesives, films, coatings, and covering processes.
- Monitoring and improvement of production KPIs: quality, scrap, efficiency, OEE, cycle times, and productivity.
- Analysis and resolution of process issues using structured methodologies (8D, Ishikawa, 5 Why, etc.).
- Technical support to Production during incidents and on-site escalations.
- Coordination with suppliers and internal departments for the implementation of technical improvements.
- Participation in process AMFE/FMEA, PFMEA, and control plans.
- Definition and validation of tooling, production means, and equipment associated with the process.
- Ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and ergonomic requirements.
- Collaboration in internal and external audits related to production processes.
- Preparation of technical documentation and project progress reporting. Essential Requirements:
- Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Materials, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- +5 years of experience in the development of industrial processes such as lamination, coating, covering, or material transformation.
- Experience in process validation and problem-solving on the shop floor.
- Advanced level of technical English.
- Frequent travel, based on project needs, at both national and European level (Czech Republic). The role may require up to 50% travel to the Czech Republic. Compensation and Benefits:
