At G+D, we are looking for a Cloud Database Architect & Administrator to join our Business Cloud Services team, working in an international environment with colleagues based in Spain, Germany, and India. The role is based in El Prat de Llobregat, Barcelona, and focuses on designing, operating, and evolving cloud database infrastructures for highly secure financial solutions used by central banks and payment providers worldwide.

Your Responsibilities Together with the Business Cloud Services team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating a robust, scalable, and secure cloud database infrastructure.

Your main duties include:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable database architectures according to the product and project backlog, with a strong focus on cloud-based SQL and NoSQL solutions
- Take full ownership of database performance, availability, and security, including backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
- Design and optimize database schemas, indexing strategies, stored procedures, and queries, ensuring high performance and reliability
- Manage database servers and instances, particularly in test, support, and cloud environments
- Conduct database code reviews and performance assessments for solutions developed by other team members
- Operate and optimize database clusters in private and public cloud environments
- Collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and support teams to resolve incidents and continuously improve database reliability
