Your day-to-day tasks will involve meticulous lesson planning, active classroom teaching, and continuously assessing student progress across various age groups. Specifically, your core focus will be teaching Mathematics to students throughout their first, second, third, and fourth years of ESO. In addition to mathematics, you will also take charge of teaching Physics and Chemistry specifically to students in their third year of ESO. You will efficiently manage a weekly schedule that consists of 23 direct teaching hours alongside 7 hours of permanence for administrative and planning duties. To be considered successful and eligible for this teaching position, you must meet several essential academic and linguistic requirements set forth by the institution. First and foremost, you must hold a formal university degree or licentiate in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology. Furthermore, because of the local curriculum requirements in Mallorca, a high level of both spoken and written Catalan is strictly required to effectively communicate with your students, colleagues, and parents. While not strictly mandatory for application, possessing a Master's degree in secondary teacher training, holding a FOLC certification, and having proven previous teaching experience will be highly valued and give you a significant advantage during the selection process.
