Join Lonza at the Porriño Biologics site as a Senior Process Engineer. You will support ongoing operations and lead capital projects that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency in biopharmaceutical manufacturing. You’ll collaborate across Production, MSAT, Quality, and Program Management while mentoring junior engineers. This role blends hands-on process engineering with strategic project execution and on-call manufacturing support, contributing to Lonza’s mission to improve lives.

• Develop technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes
• Evaluate new technologies/equipment for cost, time or yield improvements
• Design, implement and commission projects to improve safety, quality, cost and capacity
• Lead projects and coordinate Process Engineers, Junior Process Engineers, and contractors
• Ensure adherence to cGMP and safety throughout capital project execution
• Oversee installation qualification (IQ) Activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, MSAT, Quality, Program Management) to resolve issues
• Mentor Trainees and Process Engineers / Junior Engineers
• Provide SME support for process equipment design, deviations investigations, audits and inspections
• Assist with tech transfer of new processes into the facility
• Deliver 24x7x365 on-call support for manufacturing operations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Responsabilidades
• 6+ years of experience as a Process Engineer in the biotech sector
• Degree or MSc in Chemical Engineering
• Fluent in Spanish and English
• Broad knowledge of mammalian unit operations (CIP/SIP, Chromatography, UFDF, Bioreactors, Centrifugation, HVAC, Utilities)
• Extensive design and operation experience of biopharmaceutical facilities (manufacturing and support systems)
• Experience in project management and coordinating industrial projects
• Experience with fluid processing (pumps, valves, piping, tanks, transfers)
