Methods Engineer – Trápaga, Bilbao Your future role Take on a new challenge and apply your methods expertise in a new cutting‑edge field. You’ll work alongside young and proactive teammates. You’ll optimize manufacturability of products, throughput times and productivity. Day‑to‑day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Production, Quality and Suppliers), ensure the manufacturing layout and technical documentation and much more. You’ll specifically take care of the introduction of technical changes, ensure they are effectively coordinated and that the build of the first vehicle is successfully executed, but also lead the production and testing of the building of the first vehicle of each type, proving processes and times and supporting Engineering in capturing manufacturing needs – driving Design for Manufacturing and standardization. Responsibilities
- Be the interconnection between the functions of Engineering, Production, Quality and the Suppliers
- Create, document, and maintain user‑friendly manufacturing documentation (Work Instructions, etc.) for production staff
- Create documents and maintain user‑friendly testing documentation for testing staff
- Develop, review and present improved new products and working methods compliant to standards
- Ensure the delivery of all components in time, quality and cost
- Carry out investigations and reports into processes and component failure, including correspondence with Engineering and Quality departments to resolve technical enquiries in a timely manner
- Perform as a best example in terms of Health, Safety and Environment All About You We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
- University degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Knowledge of electrical equipment from the railways industry would be an advantage
- 2‑3 years of experience in similar positions, working with electrical equipment
- Experience working with an ERP
- Knowledge of FMEA on the process
- Knowledge of the Kaizen methodology Things you’ll enjoy
