What We’re Looking For We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our AIT Department, supporting assembly, integration, and test activities across several space projects. The ideal candidate has experience in mechanical and electrical integration of space hardware, environmental testing, and ground support equipment, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and compliance with space standards. ???? Key Responsibilities
• Support mechanical assembly, integration, and alignment of satellite units and subsystems.
- Manage and verify mechanical and thermal interfaces between equipment and structural elements.
- Prepare and execute environmental test campaigns, including vibration, thermal vacuum, and shock tests.
- Support the design, specification, implementation, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and test fixtures.
- Implement, execute, and document test procedures and validation reports related to mechanical and thermal verification.
- Work with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, ICDs, test procedures, and technical manuals, ensuring full traceability during AIT activities.
- Collaborate closely with systems, electrical, and test engineering teams to ensure proper mechanical configuration and test readiness.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of AIT processes, tooling, and documentation. ???? Requirements
• Experience or training in mechanical and electrical integration of electronic equipment and subsystems.
- Solid understanding of mechanical interfaces, structural assemblies, and thermal constraints during integration and test activities.
- Experience supporting functional and environmental tests such as vibration, thermal vacuum, EMC, and shock.
- Familiarity with ISO 8 and ISO 5 cleanroom environments and contamination control procedures.
- Experience in the design and implementation of Electrical and Mechanical Ground Support Equipment, including custom interfaces, power and communication simulators, and test benches.
- Ability to work with ECSS standards and support ECSS tailoring at project level.
- Technical documentation skills, including test procedures, reports, and user-facing documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to support anomaly investigation and resolution.
