- Socrates Educa International School opened in 2012 and is celebrating its 13th year. The school, located in Salou south of Barcelona, has a new building complex with po-tential to welcome up to 800 students, is inclusive and offers a complete education to students aged 1 to 18+. This is the first school to run with the Socrates Educa model, an innovative pedagogical system which will be implemented in other new schools in the future.

It is a popular and happy English / Spanish / Catalan trilingual school, offering Pre-school, Primary, Secondary, National and International Baccalaureate (IB), with an in-ternational emphasis and also Chinese as a foreign language. Our curriculum is based on the local curriculum but is influenced by teachers from around the world and taught mainly in English.

During the learning of Mandarin Chinese, through our own Socrates Educa methodology, students are encouraged to obtain external recognition through the YCT and HSK exams.

We run a wide range of extra-curricular activities, community links and projects as well as educational/cultural events and visits.

We are looking for a secondary teacher for the next academic year, starting in Septem-ber 2025.

We value: Experience in international institutions, in different continents or countries with differ-ent curriculums, International Baccalaureate accreditation, Phonics, technological skills (especially with Apple, and knowledge of educational apps), Montessori approach, open-mindedness, innovative, creative, team players, able to differentiate in the class-room, motivated by the opportunity to work in a multilingual environment and willing-ness to embark on a challenging new project.

The successful applicant will: Be an excellent classroom practitioner with active methodology Communicate with families, directly and in collective presentations Facilitate the adaptation and development of students Participate in meetings with the teaching team and with families Participate with enthusiasm in school life and events

Qualifications: PGCE or equivalent in Primary, QTS, Bachelor's degree in foreign languages or similar, Native Chinese teacher is required.
