Global Job Profile Manufacturing Industrial Optimization Engineering focuses on optimizing the interconnected components of a manufacturing system (e.g., plant location, personnel work flow/ergonomics, materials logistics, production process sequence, and equipment layouts, etc.) including:
- Establishing methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel
- Conducting cost/inventory/production control and human factors studies to develop and implement plans for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods
- Assisting manufacturing plant/facilities engineers with facility planning and design
- May assist in establishing accident prevention measures and manage production operations training programs for plant personnel Behavioural Expectations Linked to Our Values
