**SUMMARY**
Independently perform 2/3 of most common laboratory tests of mineral oil and petrochemical fluids according to predefined procedures and methods and ability to provide training to less experienced levels. This position also requires conducting document test results in accordance with the prescribed manner.
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Carry-out activities in accordance with Laboratory and Safety Manual, Core Laboratories Safety and Environmental Manual, local standards/safety rules and other Core Laboratories/Saybolt company policies
- Attend training and pass appropriate examinations in petroleum, chemical and gas analysis, including Right-to-Know training, hazardous materials and their disposal and other safety/compliance training required by applicable regulations
- Setting up, adjusting, maintaining and operating laboratory equipment in accordance with applicable standards and laboratory practice. Maintain laboratory cleanliness
- Perform 2/3 of most common laboratory tests of mineral oil and petrochemical fluids in accordance with applicable standards and laboratory practice
- Prepare chemical solutions according to standard formulas
- Determine chemical or physical characteristics designated by the client or specification
- Document test results according to prescribed manner
- Ability to provide training to less experienced levels
- Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to operational excellence.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum (technical) high school / secondary education or equivalent
- Minimum 6-12 months of experience as Laboratory Technician or related
- Ability to perform advanced mathematical calculations.

- Valid driving license and satisfactory driving record
