You will be part of our highly talented team responsible for advancing Air Transport Industry data to the next level. Your day‑to‑day work will include developing APIs and backend systems, working with data pipelines, extracting and analyzing datasets from airports, airplanes, and ground handlers, and using insights to train ML models that improve industry reliability. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Central Data Platform Team and design, develop, and maintain the future main data‑based product for the industry: the SITA Total Airport Management System (TAM). You will design and deploy the full set of APIs to access the data and develop basic user interfaces with the help of AI. What You Will Do

- Work with the team to design and develop scalable cloud‑based data products with a focus on performance, cost‑efficiency, and security.

- Develop reference ingestion APIs ensuring data quality and coherence so that the data representation is easy for consumers.

- Develop and maintain pipelines and CI/CD for product development and deployment, ensuring proper testing and quality coverage across the platform.

- Collaborate with data engineers, scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders across the air transport industry to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Qualifications

- 3‑5 years of technical experience with large company back‑end systems.

- Strong technical skills in any typed backend language (preferred Java, TypeScript) with clean coding and OOP practices.

- Proven knowledge of Domain‑Driven Design and experience applying it in large, complex business contexts.

- Expertise in Hexagonal Architecture and ability to design with that pattern.

- Knowledge of REST‑API design and development best practices. Experience with GraphQL is a plus.

- Familiarity with Databricks, Spark, and event streaming (e.g. Azure Event Hub, Kafka) is a plus.

- Proficiency in SQL and Python.

- Cloud deployment experience (Azure preferred).

- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to enable and advise teams without ownership of delivery.

- Proactive and solution‑oriented mindset, flexibility in dynamic environments, curiosity and eagerness to learn new tools and improve processes.
