IT Business Engineer (Madrid)

Home of IT: REWE digital Spain is a subsidiary of REWE Group located in Malaga, looking for an IT Business Engineer. What you will do:

Accompany the entire software development process from requirements gathering with stakeholders to rollout of the software. Act as the interface between the REWE departments and the internal product development team, ensuring optimal transparency and communication between all parties involved. Independently create process models, user stories, use cases, and interface specifications as guidelines for the developers. Familiarise yourself with the specifics and data of your business area (e.g., purchasing, marketing, billing) and perform complex SQL‑based analyses to provide stakeholders with the right answers. Create test cases, perform functional, integration, and regression tests, and handle piloting and rollout planning for your own applications. Resolve tricky support cases that make it to third‑level support, including error and system analyses and error processing. Ensure the continuous development and documentation of existing applications through active lifecycle management. Organise and moderate workshops to determine the vigente needs and wishes of users. Live the agile values and actively contribute to feedback and error culture, promoting an agile mindset within the organization. Support the product owner in designing the product vision and roadmap, managing the product backlog, or controlling budgets and tasks. What we are looking for:

Strong team player with analytical and communication skills who thinks in terms of processes and understands interface impacts, and who does not shy away from complex issues. Comfortable familiarising oneself with old procedures and new technologies. Ability to convince critics and non‑IT professionals through strong communication, moderation, and diplomacy.
